LightStim® LED Light Therapy

Clinical red and blue light for the face — FDA cleared for wrinkles and acne, with no needles and no downtime.

Now Offering

Light That Does the Work

LED light therapy energizes your skin cells using specific wavelengths of light. Different wavelengths do different jobs — red and infrared support collagen production, circulation, and healing, while blue light targets the bacteria behind acne breakouts.

The LightStim Elipsa brings all of them together. It uses 868 professional-grade LEDs — more than double the count in most comparable devices — across blue, amber, light red, dark red, and infrared wavelengths through LightStim's patented MultiWave® technology. The device is contoured and height-adjustable so it sits about an inch from your skin and treats the entire face at once.

It's soothing, it's gently warm, and it asks nothing of you afterward. No needles, no peeling, no recovery — many people find the session relaxing enough to fall asleep in.

Not the same as our HaloSauna red light. The red light inside the HaloSauna is a full-body wellness session paired with infrared heat and dry salt therapy. LightStim is a clinical facial device, positioned inches from your skin and FDA cleared for two specific concerns. If your goal is your complexion, this is the one you want.

Choose Your Mode

Wrinkle Mode

16 minutes

FDA cleared to treat wrinkles on the entire face

Red and infrared wavelengths reach the layers of skin where collagen is built, working to soften the appearance of fine lines, minimize pores, and even out tone. Because it treats the whole face at once rather than one zone at a time, results come out balanced.

Acne Mode

12 minutes

FDA cleared to treat mild to moderate and inflammatory acne

Blue light destroys the bacteria that drive breakouts while the accompanying wavelengths calm the redness and inflammation that come with them. It's a gentle option for skin that reacts badly to harsher acne treatments.

Most Popular Pairing

After SkinPen® Microneedling

Microneedling activates your skin's repair process, and LightStim gives that process a head start. Finishing a microneedling session under the Elipsa calms the skin, eases the redness that follows treatment, and supports the recovery already underway. It adds a quiet 15 minutes to your appointment, and most people leave looking calmer than they would have otherwise.

What to Expect

1

Before Treatment

We cleanse your skin, then exfoliate and tone as indicated. If it suits your skin that day, a treatment serum or the LightStim SheetMasque goes on first — LightStim works in harmony with high-performance ingredients, so the right products applied beforehand can extend what the light does.

2

During Treatment

You'll wear protective goggles while the Elipsa is positioned about an inch above your face. Then it's 12 to 16 minutes of gentle, soothing warmth depending on the mode. There's nothing to do but lie still — the device shuts itself off when the session is finished.

3

After Treatment

Your mask comes off, moisturizer and sunscreen go on, and that's it. No downtime, no peeling, no recovery period. You can put makeup back on and head straight into the rest of your day.

One note on products: certain ingredients shouldn't go on before LED treatment, including Retin-A, benzoyl peroxide, harsh acids, and anything containing metals such as colloidal silver or copper peptides. Tell us what you're using and we'll sequence your treatment around it.

Is LightStim Right for You?

LED therapy is gentle and well tolerated by most skin. There are a handful of situations we like to talk through first — none of them automatic disqualifiers, just worth a conversation.

  • Extreme sensitivity to light, or migraines brought on by bright light
  • Use of photosensitizing medications
  • Melasma or hyperpigmentation that flares with mild warmth
  • Accutane use — we ask that it be discontinued six months in advance
  • Pregnancy, which calls for approval from your medical provider first
  • Suspicious lesions or a history of skin cancer
  • Any serious health condition currently under active treatment

Debra reviews your health history and current skincare routine at consultation before any treatment, so nothing on this list needs to keep you from asking.

LightStim® Elipsa is FDA cleared in Wrinkle Mode to treat wrinkles on the entire face, and in Acne Mode to treat mild to moderate and inflammatory acne.

Clients who are pregnant must seek approval from a medical professional prior to treatment. Clients with suspicious lesions or skin cancers, and clients being treated for any type of serious health condition, should consult a medical professional before undergoing LED therapy.
